Frequently asked questions

How are you able to make your fragrances stronger than your competitors and charge less? That doesn’t make sense!

The truth is, the ingredients in fragrances don’t cost $800, $400, $200, or even $100!! Many of the most expensive fragrances pay more for the packaging than the contents! With me, you will get amazing quality in a plain bottle. So, unless you were planning on wearing your bottle all day as a necklace… the choice is obvious!

Are essential oils used in perfumes better than synthetic oils?

Many perfumes incorporate essential oils along with synthetic components!! While some fragrances are exclusively natural, using only essential oils and other natural extracts, many luxury perfumes blend natural and synthetic elements to achieve desired scent profiles and the longevity we expect in a fragrance!

Many of the notes we have all come to truly love are synthetic and do not occur naturally.

For example:

The synthetic “aqua” or “blue” scent commonly found in many clean, fresh perfumes is primarily created by a molecule called Calone. Calone (also known as Oceanone) was originally developed by Pfizer and is known for its fresh, watery, and "aquatic" aroma. It's a key ingredient in many modern aquatic fragrances, contributing to the characteristic "sea breeze" note.

We all know what the real ocean smells like, and it’s nothing like what we have come to call in the fragrance world: ‘Ocean,’ ‘Blue,’ or ‘Aqua’.

What is the difference between cologne, eau de toilette, eau (or extrait) de parfum, and parfum?

The difference lies in the concentration of fragrance oils. Parfum (or perfume extract) has the highest concentration (20–30%), followed by eau de parfum (15–20%), eau de toilette (5–15%), and finally, eau de cologne (2–4%). Higher concentrations generally mean a stronger, longer-lasting scent.

I sell parfums!! But… I put 51% perfume oil in each bottle and no water!!! (Much higher than the industry standard!) I can’t compete with fancy bottles… or hire A-list actors to be my spokesperson… but… I can offer a quality that keeps my clients loyal and appreciative!!!

Why do you change the names of the fragrances?

My fragrances are not exact copies of the originals you find in department stores. Nor do I even want them to be. I have worked really hard to make sure that when people ask you what you’re wearing, they will follow up their question with the statement, “Geez, I wish mine smelled like that!”

I hope that you will find that what I’ve created far surpasses your wildest imagination!

Here’s an example: When I bake a chocolate cake, it would be easy to follow the recipe, but as an artist and creator; I never do! I always have to adjust the tiniest little element so that people will recognize it as chocolate cake… but instantly be amazed at how this one is somehow better!

If fragrances cost so little to make, why do companies put so little perfume oil in each bottle?

Profit margins! The less they put… the more they save on cost.

The less perfume oil they put in each bottle, the more you will need to spray each time you wear it!

The more you spray, the quicker you will have to go back and buy another bottle!

(You get the picture!!)
